The world of information in the palm of our hands is rife with disinformation. With ‘fake news’, virality, ‘gatekeeping culture’, and ‘cancel culture’ – anyone has the power to set the agenda. It is both an inspiring and terrifying fact that on the internet, anybody can speak, and anybody can listen. With this opportunity comes responsibility. As said by Prime Minister Jacinda Arden, “In a disinformation age, we need to learn to analyse and critique information”.
